For
over two years, Fairfield Fire and EMS has taken a proactive
approach to life safety in our coverage area and beyond.
Our concerns are for the people we serve, both in our
own area as well as those areas to which we provide
mutual aid. Working closely with Ed Kaplan from the
USFA, Chief Kevin Koons and Lieutenant Dave Millstein
have all provided testimony and professional recommendations
into the addition of residential sprinkler code into
town ordinances. Carroll Valley was the first in this
area to adopt this new code.
We hope that others will take the time to consider the
importance of adopting a similar code in their own areas
and we hope that the information contained here will
provide a starting point so that others can see how
we got to where we are today. If there are any questions,
please do not hesitate to contact
me, I will be glad to assist or pass the request
along to someone who can.
