The mission of Fairfield Fire and EMS is to protect the lives, property and environment in Fairfield and the surrounding areas by providing firefighting, rescue, emergency medical, other emergency and non-emergency services, and public education. We will maintain the highest level of response readiness to deliver firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services in a safe, competent and caring manner, whenever and wherever requested.

Special Unit 2

2008 Ford F-550, 4 wheel drive Crew Cab
Unit has a 250GPM Pump, 300 Gal. Tank, 80 CFM Compressed Air Foam System
2-1 3/4" Pre-Connected lines, 600 Ft. Forestry Hose and Wildland tools.
This piece is Medical QRS certified and is designed for patient transport under adverse conditions as needed.
Full Communications capability for Fire and Medical Frequencies.

Box 4-3    200 Block of Mount Carmel Road
Vehicle Accident With Roll Over

Engine Rescue 2 and Ambulance 2A dispatched at 03:06 to assist Cashtown Fire Company with a Vehicle Accident with roll over. Engine 2-1 was later dispatched to replace Engine 4-1. Squad 4 arrived on scene and proceeded to remove the car door. Engine Rescue 2's crew then proceeded with extricating the patient from the car. Engine 2-1 was assigned to set up a landing zone for Life Lion next to the Adams County Fish and Game Pond. Incident cleared at 04:08.


4/14/09    Box 2-9    Building Fire
121 Sanders Road

23:13   Company's 2 (E2-1,E/R 2,2A), 3 (E/R 3,E/T 3), 23 (E/T 23), Fredrick County Company 6 (FK6-3, FKE/T 6-4, FK Tower 6) were dispatched for a building fire. Assistant 2 arrived on scene to find on side C of building 2 at the Carroll Valley Resorts fire going up the side of the building and into the attic area of the Hotel with smoke showing from the roofs ridge vent. At this time Assistant 2 called for 2nd alarm which brought in the following units. Adams Company 4 (E4-1, E4-3), Company 22 (E22-2), Carroll Company 11 (CAE/T 112), Fredrick Company 6 (FKSQ 6), Fredrick Company 26 (FK26-9). Engine 2-1 arrived on the scene and was assigned the following. One crew to the outside and one crew to the inside for primary search . The outside crew placed into service a 1 3/4" CAFS line and stated the attack on the fire. Engine 2-1's inside crew did quick search and made their way to the balconies of the area of the fire and started overhauling the soffit area of the hotel. The aggressive attack work done by the two crews stopped the fire in it's tracks. Frederick County Tower 6's crew was assigned ventilation and overhaul. Adams County Engine 1-1 Transferred to Station 2.  Units Cleared at 01:13.

Fire and Injury Prevention

Make staying safe fun! Involve the whole family in fire safety; Develop escape routes, a meeting point, and what to do in the event of an emergency.

Keep flammable materials such as matches and lighters out of the hands of children. Place the same emphasis on these materials as dangerous power tools to help keep children safe!

 
 
Bingo

Please join us for BINGO every Thursday in our new Function Hall. Doors open at 5:30 PM, first numbers called at 6:45 PM.

Don't forget! The first FRIDAY of each month is Late Night Bingo with doors opening at 7:00 PM! 

 
Training

Regular training sessions are on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm unless otherwise noted.
